Senior global strategic events and team management contract role with major investment bank.

The Role
This is fantastic 7 month in-house contract opportunity for a senior event professional with a multi-faceted skill set that combines strategy and event design as well as the management of a large international team to deliver outstanding event initiatives to support the business of a large global banking network.

As Head of Events, you will be responsible for managing a large global budget and events team, creating the strategy and overseeing the execution of a variety of internal and external events programmes, aimed at highly senior stakeholders and clients. This is a management role with very little delivery so your focus will be on using your strategic and end-to-end events experience, to develop the existing team of event specialists. Working in a functional and geographical matrix environment you will be focussed on creating events that drive value for the business and their clients.

About You
The role offers an opportunity to use your strategic and implementation experience coupled with team and relationship management, you will manage and develop a sponsorship marketing executive.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in creating events that work, some exposure to financial services and proven experience of developing the strategy around events along with practical experience, from concept to completion. Used to managing a team you will have strong leadership and line management skills, a good understanding of b2b and consumer events and understand how to engage across businesses. The role offers an opportunity to use your thinking around practise and procedures in this ever-changing environment.
