Wonderful in-house events role working from the London office of a prestigious international law firm!
This is a 9 month maternity cover contract (starting early September) for a strategic as well as hands-on Senior Event Manager.
The Company
International Law firm specialising in domestic and international litigation and arbitration who have offices worldwide and offer a fantastic range of benefits including contributory pension scheme, dental and medical insurance, heavily discounted gym membership, childcare vouchers and a season ticket loan. This role will be based out of their London (City) office.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Branding & Campaigns, you’ll be heading up the “Client Events Team” which sits within the Business Development department of this International Law firm.
You’ll be responsible for creating, planning and managing the firm's client events & hospitality programme (UK and overseas) which includes global conferences, partnership events, client events, corporate hospitality, dinners, seminars as well as sponsorship and debenture management.
This is a fixed term 9 month contract (maternity cover) starting early September 2012 and is a strategic as well as hands-on role where you’ll be managing a team of two event staff.
Also worth noting is that later in the year the company will be going through a period of change so experience of managing change will be an important and much needed skill set for this role.
About You
You’ll be a very experienced and polished senior event manager with a strong professional services background and a proven track record of heading up a successful events division delivering high quality and innovative client events.
You’ll have high-level strategic planning experience, strong leadership skills, exceptional organisational ability and be confident working closely with senior partners.
Crucial to this role is experience of managing a “period of change” with tact, patience and diplomacy whilst still being assertive, persuasive and driven, as is a good understanding of what business development does and the contribution that this position would make to that effort.
Experience of working within law, banking or professional services is preferred, although other corporate backgrounds may be considered and candidates must be available to start at the beginning of September.
