PLANNING MANAGER- CHARITY – LONDON - £40K - £50K

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced marketing planner with financial management and strategic development capabilities to lead the Marketing planning on a large scale for the fundraising team within a high profile charity.


The Company:

This charity have enormous fundraising targets and are expanding their marketing team to handle their far-reaching campaigns


The Role:
You will be directly responsible for planning supporter acquisition across the full channel mix and incorporating a broad portfolio of market leading products – from legacies and sales to committed gifts and events.
• Responsible for developing and planning supporter recruitment strategy
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and benchmark performance
• Research and develop new products
• Commission appropriate research and insight function to support strategy development
• Lead planning and ensure delivery of mass fundraising supporter recruitment budgets, targets and strategy
• Assist with the planning and strategy of campaigns through to delivery and analysis



The Candidate:

This role will demand all your expertise - as a planner and as a marketer
• Experience of charity in a direct marketing role or within a sales/marketing /CRM planning environment
• Ability to analyse complex data analysis
• Proven direct marketing and charity experience
• Experience with direct response marketing planning, using simple channels and products
• Proven knowledge of working with Excel spread sheets and databases to prepare and analyse data for customer acquisition planning
• Proven ability to establish effective relationships of trust with colleagues, agencies, suppliers and collaborators and deal confidently with people at all levels
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Databases and reporting programmes
• Excellent communication and Team player
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
