Great opening for an Event Operations Manager with complex international exhibitions and conferences experience to join an established publishing house to deliver a large-scale 3 day global networking event for the telecoms sector.

Based in London (City), you will be working for the telecommunications division of a large and well-known international publishing house.
Role
Our client is looking for an Event Operations Manager with solid experience in delivering complex & large scale international exhibitions and conferences to work on a 3 day global networking event for the telecoms sector. This is very much a customer service orientated role that will involve frequent travel to the US.
Key responsibilities include:
·Delivery of a large complex event on schedule & within budget
·Implementing internal & venue processes for a seamless customer experience
·Managing all customer contracts
·Producing the Event Guide (inc flat planning, copywriting, proofing, printing & shipping)
·Sourcing, managing & negotiating with suppliers
·Budget management (inc revenue & cost reporting)
·Daily venue liaison (inc AV & catering provision, signage approval & contractor access)
·Working with the event contractor on floor plans & stand specifications
The Event Operations Manager will be required to attend the event to ensure all logistical elements are properly managed and delivered and will also need to allocate specific job roles to other team members both during set-up and throughout the event.
Candidate
You will have a proven track record in the operational and event management delivery of complex and large scale international exhibitions and conferences and will be willing to travel on a frequent basis to the US.
Key skills include:
·Delivery of large scale, complex events that are on time and within budget
·Venue contract management
·Experience of producing & managing all elements of a printed Event Guide
·Supplier & contractor management
·Budget management
·Outstanding time management & organisational skills
·Sponsor & exhibitor liaison
·Excellent communication & customer service skills
·Good understanding of floor plans & stand specifications
·Able to work as part of a team as well as with autonomy.
·On-site management
·Ability to process large amounts of data quickly & accurately
