EVENT OPERATIONS MANAGER - EVENTS & EXHIBITIONS (mat cover)
Great maternity cover position in this leading tech media organisation responsible for launching and organising UK events and exhibitions - their flagship event attracting over 10,000 industry professionals. The team is responsible for managing event delivery which includes exhibition stand build, feature build and technical requirements as well as managing the relevant suppliers. Lots of liason with exhibitors, and ensuring the exhibitor/visitor experience throughout is top level.
They are looking for an events & exhibitions professional to be the internal lead for the operational delivery of their major events. Customer care and the visitor/exhibitor experience are central to this operational role, so account management abilities are an essential requirement alongside great ops experience. You will manage an Operations Executive, and temporary staff nearer each event. You will be involved in the maintenance and development of stakeholder relationships, including a review of operational performance, and ensure delivery standards are high.
The successful candidate's skills and experience would include:
- significant events and exhibitions operations experience, ideally with large (5,000+ visitor) exhibitions
- IOSH qualification
- a track record of delivering excellent customer care / service provision
- strong on process and measurement
- strong stakeholder and supplier manager
- team management experience
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with strong exhibition operations experience and a customer service focus. Based in Kingston upon Thames, for a minimum 6 month maternity contract period.
