EVENT MANAGER - CHARITY PARTICIPATION EVENTS

This is an exceptionally rewarding role for an experienced Event Manager to join the fundraising team at this St Albans based charity. As Event Manager you'll be delivering and marketing their programme of fundraising events. You'll be joining a small team, and will have line management responsibility for one assistant. You'll be working on a range of events, most specifically their three main public participation events - a mixture of runs and walks. Other events are varied and include Celebrity Dinners. This is a maternity cover role for a year.

Your responsibilities would include:
- delivery of all fundraising events, from participation events to dinners
- sponsor liaison and management
- responsibility for the route of the event, and the facilities along the way (runs/walks)
- liaising with local councils, police etc
- preparing detailed risk analysis of the event
- co-ordinating recruitment and tasks for volunteers
- responsible for overall event fundraising marketing materials

To be considered for this role you'll need to be able to demonstrate:
- A proven track record as an Event Manager
- Proven track record organising similar participation events
- Experience of producing marketing materials (knowledge of desk top publishing packages)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within a fundraising team
