HEAD OF SHOW OPERATIONS - MAJOR PUBLIC EVENTS

Unique opportunity to join this leading organisation, delivering a series of major outdoor events attracting circa 750,000 customers annually. They're seeking a Head of Show Operations, to lead the Operations team, and be a key member of the Senior Management Team.

As a member of the Senior Management Team you'll contribute to the strategic direction and policy of the organisation as a whole, and the Shows Department in particular. As Head of Show Ops you'll be responsible for the motivation, development and high quality delivery of the team. You'll provide leadership of the team as they deliver their shows to standard, on time and within budget, and you'll take the lead on stakeholder relationships, as well as project managing some of the shows yourself. Operationally you'll be responsible for key contract management and negotiation, ensuring show compliance with relevant legislation (h&s, security & licensing), planning and management of the show infrastructure (mainly greenfield), services and facilities, for visitors, contractors, staff, exhibitiors and controlling budgets. You'll also be leading and overseeing the team as they deliver the full programme of major UK events.

This is an exciting role, with a great organisation who deliver some of the most prestigious events in the UK open air calender.

Essential knowledge and experience includes:
- Proven leadership of departments and project teams
- Experience of managing large-scale, high profile consumer events (ideally with extensive greenfield site experience)
- H&S qualification - NEBOSH preferably - Security and licensing legislation
- Project management methodologies and practice
- Financial Planning, budgeting and management
- Tendering and contract negotiation
- Working closely with the emergency services,enforcement agencies, local authorities etc
- Risk Assessment
