VENUES MANAGER - MAJOR LONDON EVENT
2011 sees one of London's biggest venues host a major competitive £30m event - 100,000+ international visitors are expected and the event will be under a global spotlight.
The organising team for this complex event are looking for an experienced event professional to take the role of Venues Manager - working as the key interface between the operations and technical teams and venues to be used.
The Venue Manager will report into the Operations Director - the role will involve liaison with the venue contacts to ensure that the operational detail, specifically from a venue perspective, associated with the event is successfully planned and managed. You'll scope, procure and manage delivery and servicing of venue specific utilities (power, water etc.) and infrastructure requirements, as well as all venue security requirements. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of managing large venues during specific tenancy periods, with strong experience of managing contracts and large budgets. You'll have the experience to work closely and understand the needs of the technical and logistics project teams, working to ensure their requirements are workable and successfully fulfilled by the venues. This is a fixed contract position till end of 2011.
