HEAD OF EVENTS - COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY - NORTH ENGLAND
This exciting agency is looking for a 'big hitter' who can deliver complex live events, and mentor and manage their busy team as they deliver award-winning events to an enviable client list. The agency are based in the North of England, and offer a fantastic career opportunity and a great team environment.
COMPANY
This award-winning design and communications agency create innovative and effective brand solutions across events, digital, film and video. They have excellent in-house expertise across strategy, creative and delivery, and an enviable client list with excellent new wins confirmed for the year. Their client list includes major blue chips in Retail, Telecoms and Finance. They are looking for a Head of Events, to head up their live events team - someone who brings an excelllent record of delivering live events, to mentor and manage the team, and to take Project Director ownership of large (£million+ projects).
ROLE
- Responsible for the successful delivery of all the agency's event projects
- Take the lead role on large scale or complex event projects
- Manage team of Project Managers and Co-ordinators
- Ensure development of all team members, mentor, and conduct appraisals
- Lead from the front in terms of exceptional event delivery
- Client facing - taking briefs and leading pitches and creative brainstorms
- Responsible for safe, effective and compliant operations, leadership of assigned staff, contractors etc.
CANDIDATE
- Excellent track record in a related senior project delivery role, with proven record in live communication and event solutions
- Proven ability to control large and logistically complicated event projects and budgets (£million +)
- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of event delivery, from production, to logistics
- Clear and demonstrable evidence of team leadership and development
- Excellent negotiation and presentations skills
- A people person with strong mentoring aptitude and ability
