HEAD OF SPORTS TRAVEL & EVENTS - MAJOR TRAVEL AGENCY (Manchester)
Major high street name are looking for a Senior management team member to develop and lead their Sports Travel and Events business. With your excellent understanding of group travel, commercial abilities and leadership skills, you'll define a strategy for developing the business and operations and grow the division to bring it's offering to a wider corporate market.
COMPANY
- Well established travel agency, with strong sports affiliations
- Manchester based
- Existing travel division, and looking to develop it's business in Sports and Events arena
- Excellent corporate client base
- Looking to take their existing capability into a corporate market
ROLE
- Senior manager position
- Full P&L responsibility for this division
- Define and execute business plan to develop existing sports business and diversify into other areas of group travel and event management
- Evaluate current team capabilities, and organise resource
- Structure, lead and motivate team
- Develop concept and offering, and take to market
- Develop new business opportunities
CANDIDATE
- Senior experience within agency - conference, incentive or event travel
- Strong commerical/financial acumen
- Excellent understanding of group travel operations
- Strong negotiation skills
- Success in securing new client relationships across Associations, NGO's, LEA and corporations
- Excellent leadership ability
