MEDIA MANAGER – CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS – GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY – POA

A unique and high profile Advisory body that has been tasked with delivering a major national government reform is looking for a Media Manager……



The Company



- Non-Departmental Public Body

- Established to assist with the implementation and roll out of a major scheme and government reform programme

- Based off Borough High Street

- Join a growing team of 10

- Based in the Corporate Communications Team who are responsible for the delivery of the authority’s corporate marketing, internal communications, media relations and stakeholder engagement.



The Role



- Media Manager

- Work closely with the stakeholder team and Media Manager to provide advice and analysis on stakeholder relations

- Build effective relationships with media and stakeholders – focusing on trade press, reporters and stakeholders

- Write press releases, speeches. QA’s and other briefing documents

- Develop and manage media facilities

- Day to day media monitoring

- Act as media spokesperson



The Candidate



- Previous experience in a senior media manager role for a large corporate or public sector organisation

- Experience of managing high profile public issues

- Government media relations experience is desirable

- Financial services media relations experience is desirable

- Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in journalism, PR and/or marketing or equivalent experience

- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills

- Effective team player
