High profile Pensions provider at the very forefront of workplace automatic enrolment were moving to its next phase of on boarding 1000's of small and micro size businesses, they urgently needed to set up a new function to define and implement measurable and digital strategy based on customer insight to ascertain how they were going to define and speak to large numbers of different types of businesses.They needed an Acquisition expert - someone who would be responsible for creating, implementing and evaluating targeted marketing plans through acquisition and retention activity.

In a candidate driven market the challenge was to source candidates with proven commercial marketing experience in a regulated environment, who were used to creating highly successful integrated campaigns across B2B and B2C along with a superb understanding of wide target audience and CRM methodology using data and insight.They were looking for people who could join almost immediately so a key factor was identifying people who had a short notice period.

Process

Regan & Dean used it's wide industry network and the expertise of the market to identify and reach out to suitable candidates.To ensure that all potential sources were covered, ads were also placed on industry specific jobsites.10 candidates were approached for an initial screening, 4 were subsequently invited into Regan & Deans offices for a thorough face to face interview .

The outcome

We submitted 3 candidates.Each application included a personal profile, their CV plus relevant work examples.All were interviewed by the client with the result of an offer and acceptance.The successful candidate was a loyalty expert with strong customer and commercial management experience who had previously worked in FS, telecommunications and retail.An expert in small business marketing;had previously headed up and defined the small business proposition for 4 major high-street brands, where they'd created the communication road map, improved customer journey to increase loyalty and used customer insight and data to understand the needs of a variety of target audiences.And starting within a month, the team were delighted.
